The folks over at LEGO are finally set to release the brand’s highly anticipated Statue of Liberty architecture set. Although this isn’t the first LEGO set to pay homage to one of the Big Apple’s most renowned landmarks, fans of the popular building blocks have eagerly awaited its release since the Nuremberg Toy Fair last January, where the brand announced its upcoming summer 2018 release.

The set consists of 1685 pieces and measures over 17 inches high, 5 inches wide and 5 inches deep. According to LEGO, this miniature replica of Lady Liberty features all of her signature characteristics, including the statue’s “intricately detailed shield-lined pedestal, brick detailing and columned balconies.” And naturally, the blocks will also combine to form all of the signature characteristics for which the Statue of Liberty is known, particularly her flowing robe, shackles, 7-ray crown, the famous tablet and the extended golden torch-bearing arm.

The statue boasts a decorative nameplate and an authentic sand-green and beige finish that accurately reflects the real-life layer of verdigris patina that covers her original copper-toned skin. Described as a truly symbolic centerpiece for the home or office, LEGO promises that the set will be perfect for those with an interest in architecture, design, history, models and travel.
